7/9/01: This is Deric. I'm excited. Our page is sort of up! No one knows who we are and we don't even exist as a fully-fledged band yet, but I'm sure that it will all come together soon! In all seriousness, though. I'll be heading out to Bloomington very, very soon, w/the rest of the kids soon to follow. We'll see if I can eke out a new existence w/my other bandmates there. I'm hopeful. It's not Muncie. It occurs to me that this website will be of interest in retrospect only, so allow me to grant you a hearty hello from the past. This is where it all began...
7/18/01: Deric again. Word, it seems, is getting out. The guestbook is crammed w/messages and I didn't even know anyone knew about the site. I'll be a monkey's uncle. Still not much progress on the Polio front. We get the cops (dirty bastards that they are) called on us every time we practice, so it looks like little or no progress is going to occur until Bloomington. Oh, well. We'll shine like diamonds then. Hope to get some input from the other Polios on the site sometime in the near future.
11/23/01: It looks like little or no progress has occurred since we've arrived in Bloomington...three months ago. Some members are pumped and driven, ready to begin at the drop of a hat. I must confess that I am not one of those members. Too much comfort and a job that sucks my ass have taken their collective toll on my ambitions as a rock and roll superstar. Changing priorities have had a hand in the matter as well: thoughts of returning to school and becoming a little more serious about these writing and drawing things that I do from time to time. Perhaps a comic book is on the horizon? It's far too premature to say that the fate of the Polios is sealed, though. There still exists an itch to trample on the current state of music. And we -are- the chosen. It would be a shame to allow our divine providence to go to waste...
